Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Wednesday approved the decision of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to exempt from land registration charges to educational and medical institutes being set up in Amaravati area.
The meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat discussed about the land requirement for developing an international airport, sports city and smart industries in the capital as part of second phase expansion. The Cabinet permitted changes in the working hours and overtime limit as part of reforms in Ease of Doing Business.
During the Cabinet briefing, I&PR and Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy told the media that they have decided to enhance working hours from eight to 12 hours and the limit for overtime from 50 to 144 hours per quarter. He said night duty for women are permitted with certain precautions like mutual consent and CCTV footage.
The meeting approved lands to certain industries. Around Rs 15 crore was approved as Viability Gap Funding for protected drinking water projects in Kuppam in Chittoor and Udhanam area in Srikakulam district.
